University of Washington is working on contact lenses that gives you superhuman vision. The prototype device contains an electric circuit as well as red light-emitting diodes for a display, though it does not yet light up. The lenses were tested on rabbits for up to 20 minutes and the animals showed no adverse effects. These type of technology makes me wonder what our future holds for us. Surfing the web with contact lens, makes cheating on your exams a whole lot easier lol.

As you may or may not know, Jordan Brand will be releasing packages of their signature Air Jordans in a set of 2 pairs at a time. Each set will consist of two Air Jordan sneakers whose model numbers equal 23. For this example we have the 9’s and 14’s. (14 + 9 = 23)

Here is a quick look at this Jordan Countdown Package. This package will contain the White/Black/Red 9’s and Black/Red 14’s. These colorways for the 9’s and 14’s have not been seen since 2002 and 2005 respectively, and seem to be a fan-favorite, so expect this to be in high demand. Retail price for the package will be set at $310.

The 10 newest words added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary. “w00t” is defined as “expression of joy; similar in use to the word ‘yay’” And for all those wondering, yes, it is written with two zero’s (0) rather than o’s.

Hypocrite was one I thought would be there already, same with quixotic. Facebook seems an interesting entry. I wonder if Myspace has a definition?

Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer of Devil May Cry 4, recently said some words to shed some light on why exactly Capcom decided to introduce Nero as the main character. To quote Kobayashi, “We have created this game so that, if you haven’t played games in the series before, you will enjoy it. First of all, the story…you can enjoy that even if you don’t know the story of the other three games in the series - it won’t affect your enjoyment of this story.” Basically he’s saying he wants to introduce the DMC franchise to newer players and doesn’t want those players to feel left out of the loop. So they are going to let Nero take the driver’s seat in hopes to raise “Dante-Awareness”.

Another interesting tidbit of news, it is confirmed that a playable DMC4 demo will be released over Playstation Network and X-Box Live Marketplace in Q1 2008, a few weeks before the games release.

Victim x Mita x New Balance

Japanese brand “Mita” and “Victim” (GTA Anyone?) has brought flavor for the 574 sneaker. The 574 is a great sneaker for everyday wear. Available now at Mita-Sneakers.co.jp (Japanese will be required.) For us in the U.S. we’ll have to wait for word until they hit our shores.

UNDFTD x Stussy x realmad HECTIC

NB goes 2 for 2 with another merger. This time “Undefeated”, “Stussy”, and “realmad HECTIC” team-up with “New Balance” to do a “3 the Hard Way” inspired MT580. Unlike the 574, the 580 will run with 3 colorways.

New Balance spends some alone time with the 576. This 576 is unique with the use of tartan proliferate. It’s used with suede and gold to complete the upper. Two colorways available, red and blue, over @ Mita-Sneakers.co.jp (Again, Japanese will be a plus.) Same applys as with the 574 mentioned above.
